At 14-4 the Sands Mustangs boys basketball squad has surprised a lot of people this winter but there’s still one area in particular where coach Billy Grumbles would like to see some immediate improvement.
That’s in consistency. “You’re either a good team or you’re not a good team,” Grumbles said shorty after the Mustangs thumped Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy, 69-12, at Ackerly.
“You hear people talk about playing down to your opponent but I didn’t think we could get this far down,” said a frustrated Grumbles. “Tonight was a little disappointing.”
