When Reagan Martinez first heard about the riots and storming of the nation’s capital Wednesday, she was concerned about the colleagues she left behind.
Martinez had just finished up a semester-long internship in the office of District 15 Congressman Vicente Gonzalez in Washington, D.C. in mid-December. She is currently back home in Lamesa.
“I do have a few colleagues in D.C. and they’re safe,” Martinez said. “When I heard what was happening, I sent them a text and they said they were home.”
