COVID-19 has been a challenge for local medical personnel and has taken a toll on the residents of Dawson County.
Testing and taking care of patients affected by the deadly virus, however, has provided a much-needed financial boost for the Dawson County Hospital District.
The hospital district saw a net gain of $1.88 million during November, according to information presented to the district’s board members during a meeting Thursday afternoon.
Colby Reeves, now part of the district’s administrative team in the accounting department, reported the district has seen a $2.9-million net gain since its current fiscal year began on April 1.
