Billy Miers

    Private graveside service for Billy Miers, 88, of Lamesa will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Kalith Brown officiating. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  Facial masks and social distancing are required at funeral home and service.
    Billy passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2021 in Lamesa, TX. 
    He was born December 29, 1932 to W.W. and Alta (Maberrry) Miers in McCaulley. TX. He married Jane Taylor March 8, 1953 in Lamesa, TX.  They were married 49 years. His passion was farming. As a young man he enjoyed roping and trading cattle.  He was an avid golf player and loved playing dominoes at King Mesa Gin.
    Billy is survived by his son, Mike Miers and wife, Greta; grandchildren, Kevin Miers and wife, Kathryn of San Angelo and Carly Miers of Waxahachie; great grandchildren, Ellie, Jack and Emma.  
    He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother Kenneth Miers.
