Angelita C. Trevino

Angelita Angelita C. Trevino, 78, of Lamesa went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday morning, December 25, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be held at a later time.
Angelita was born on July 28, 1942 in Lamesa, Texas to Luis Castillo and Andrea Mojica Castillo. She married Ruben Trevino Sr. April 4, 1959 in Lamesa, Texas. They were married 53 years.
Angie was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and sewing banners for her home church. Angie, aka Anita, was at one time on a tambourine dancing ministry team. She also volunteered as treasurer when she attended Bread of Life church.
`Angie was employed for many years as a seamstress, at Dotty Dan which later became Prophecy. She also worked for the Lamesa ISD for several years in the High School and Middle School cafeterias (where she loved seeing the youth and her grandchildren). In about 2002-2003, to the best of our recollection, Mom also worked for Dr. Brodkin (Podiatrist) as an assistant. She was blessed to be able to travel with his team. In 2005 she enrolled at Covenant Treasure School of Ministries.  On May 12, 2007, she received a certificate of diploma, as she fulfilled the requirements of the two-year course.
She attended Lamesa Christian Fellowship Church with her family, where she continued to work for the Lord.  She loved serving Him and others.  Most importantly Angie, was faithful in prayer and fasting.  A warrior for Christ!  What a joy to go home on such a special day.
Angelita is survived by her children, Ruben Trevino, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Lamesa; Stella Rodriguez and husband, Ralph of Artesia, New Mexico; Liz Humphreys of Lamesa; Richard Trevino and wife, Linda of Lamesa; and Deeanna Salazar and husband, Ray of Lamesa; sister, Lillie Sedillo of Roswell, New Mexico; twenty-nine beautiful grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; and six  great, great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; daughter, Elvia Perez; son, Randy Trevino; granddaughter, Rita Trevino; great grandson, Jai Casarez; and brother, Adam Castillo.
