A proposed engineering study for a possible new wastewater pipeline in the southeastern part of Lamesa has received funding and is slated to go to the city council for possible approval next Monday.
During a special called meeting this past Monday, board members of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) agreed to provide the City of Lamesa $54,500 to fund an engineering study for extension of the city’s wastewater system.
That was the only item of action on the agenda for the meeting, which lasted only about 25 minutes, according to LEDC board President Scott Leonard.
