Take away a shaky first quarter Tuesday evening at the Eagles’ Nest and there’s no telling what kind of game the O’Donnell Eagles might have given the seventhranked class 1A boys basketball team in the state.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, it’s still a four quarter game instead of only three. Borden County’s boys took command early with a 17-2 lead. That early 15-point difference carried to the final outcome as the Coyotes held off the Eagles, 52-37.
Borden County was up 28- 15 at the half.
