The first of two stockings of rainbow trout in Lamesa’s North 9th Street Lake is scheduled for next week. The lake is scheduled to receive 2,000 rainbow trout on Dec. 10 and another 2,000 on Jan. 28. The annual stocking of the lake with trout is being handled by Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Inland Fisheries Division, in cooperation with the local Wilton Foundation. Three thousand of the fish are being provided by the Wilton Foundation, and 1,000 fish are being provided by Texas Parks & Wildlife.
