After a hot start this season, the Golden Tornado boys basketball team cooled off Monday afternoon with a 100-67 loss at Big Spring.
“We knew that these guys would be tough but that’s why we scheduled them,” Golden Tornado Coach Gregg Moreland said.
It was only a five-point game at the end of the first quarter with the Steers up 21-16. Big Spring started pulling away in the second quarter, outscoring Lamesa, 30-13.
“We learned a lot about ourselves in this game. Our guys didn’t have the right attitude going into it,” Moreland said.
