Klondike head football coach Dalton DeGraffenreid had hopes of watching his Cougars play some more football on Thanksgiving week.
But for a play here and there on Friday night, DeGraffenreid’s Cougars would have done just that.
But instead they sawone of the school’s best seasons come to an end Friday night at Sudan. A gutsy second half comeback fell just short of its mark as No. 4 Groom captured 62-52 regional playoff victory over the No. 8 Cougars.
