After beating their first 11 opponents this season by an average of over 45 points per game, the Klondike Cougars find themselves in a rather interesting spot this weekend.
Going into Friday night’s regional playoff game at Sudan, the Cougars find themselves as 22-point underdogs to Groom. At 10-1, the Groom Tigers are ranked third in this week’s Division I state six man poll while the 11-0 Klondike Cougars have moved up to fifth. Groom’s lone setback this season was to No. 6 Happy, 68-20, in the first week of this season.
