Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornadoes are definitely excited about making the playoffs for the first time since 2001. But they are a long way from being satisfied to stop there. “We just felt like the playoffs was a good goal for us this season,” Coach Joseph Hood said. “But, we’re not OK with just getting there. Now, we want to see what we can do to put some of those gold footballs in our trophy case.” The 4-6 Golden Tors will make their first post-season appearance in 19 years at 7 p.m. Friday against the 6-3 Dalhart Wolves at Frenship’s Peoples Bank Stadium.
