For those kids in school who are a little different, a little more inquisitive and a little bit older than their physical years, there’s the Gifted and Talented (G/T) program. The program is open to students who always ask “why?,” learn things easily and quickly, are interested in knowing things just to know them, or are focused on topics way beyond their formative years. If parents believe those traits describe their child in the Lamesa school system, they may want to consider referring the child to be tested for the G/T program. The window for referrals is open from Nov. 9 through Nov.
