The Precinct 2 county commissioner seat held by Tony Hernandez prior to his death last month will remain in the family, at least for a couple of years. Tony’s widow, Martha Hernandez, has agreed to serve the remaining two years and two months of her late husband’s unexpired term. County Judge Foy O’Brien made the announcement just before the conclusion of Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Dawson County Commissioners Court.
