A little over a month after granting a property owner the zoning request he needed to operate a truck mechanic shop along Akron Ave., Lamesa City Council members changed their minds – again – Tuesday in a 4-2 vote against the measure
Property owner Paul Hernandez told council members after their decision on the second reading of the zoning request that he will be seeking legal action.
“I can’t build a house there. It’s industrial,” Hernandez said. “I’ve been waiting and waiting. I’m $50,000 in the hole.”
The re-zoning affects two adjoining tracts of property along the west side of N. Akron Ave.,
