Dorothy Denson

    Funeral service for Dorothy Ross Gibson Denson, 91, of Lamesa will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Jim Medley officiating. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.  Facial masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
    Dorothy went to sleep on earth Tuesday night and woke up in heaven. 
    She was born December 4, 1928 in Lamesa, Texas to Ross Emerson and Cora Inez (Austin) Gibson. She married Morris Denson November 18, 1958 in Lamesa, Texas.
    She was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper in the lumber and hardware business. As a young adult she enjoyed projects that employed her artistic abilities.
    Dorothy is survived by her children, Dennis Hayes and wife Dawn Marie of Austin, Texas and Denise Webb of Lamesa, Texas; 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Morris.
