O’Donnell took a break from Division I District 4-1A competition Friday night but Coach Fernando Baeza’s Eagles didn’t take a break from the win column.
After erupting for 50 points in the first quarter at Morton, the Eagles didn’t have much trouble in scalping the Indians, 58-6, in a game stopped at the half on six-man’s 45-point mercy rule.
“I can’t remember many first quarters like we had over here tonight. Our guys just did a good job,” Baeza said of his Eagles, who are now 6-1 this season.
