The Golden Tornadoes wasted little time last Saturday in capturing their first District 3-3A win of the season at Dimmitt.
Going into the game, both teams were seeking their first district vistory. The Golden Tors made the 143-mile trip back home with the 25-16, 25-21 and 25-17 match win.
“This was great! Our girls needed a boost like this,” Golden Tor Coach Liz Castro said after her spikers snapped a five-game district losing skid. It was the third win of the season for the Lamesa volleyballers.
