If you haven’t registered to vote in the Nov. 3 presidential, state and local elections, you better do it soon. The deadline to register to participate in the upcoming elections ends Monday. Sylvia Ortiz, voter registrar and county tax assessor/collector, receives about five new voter registration applications every day. “At the moment, we’re still registering right now,” Ortiz said. At last count, the county had 7,058 registered voters.
