With a light agenda dominated by well permits, Wednesday’s regular monthly meeting of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District’s board of directors lasted less than 15 minutes. Board members approved permits for 17 new water wells. Five of those permits were issued to Don McMorries and three to Peter Klassen. Receiving one permit each were WS Roxie Seed Cleaning, Gene Schmidt, Jose Angel Perez, Lamesa Municipal Airport, Bernard and Shelby Lloyd, Keith Nichols, EMCS Farms, Colby Therwanger, and Hijinio Olvera.
