The Golden Tornadoes will finish the remainder of their high school volleyball season with a new leader. Liz Castro was named this week as the Golden Tor volleyballers’ interim head coach. Castro, a 1979 Lamesa High School graduate, has been teaching at her high school alma mater for 23 years and coaching for the past 17. She’s been Lamesa’s junior high girls athletic coordinator the past five years. She is looking forward to her new roll. “We know these girls.
