Eddie Jeffcoat

    Funeral service for Eddie Jeffcoat, 64, of Lamesa will be held Monday, September 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Tobey Clements officiating.
    Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. 
    Eddie passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Lamesa, Texas.  
    He was born March 31, 1956 to James Owell and Myrtle Inez (Davis) Jeffcoat.  He married Arla Sue Williams July 16, 1977 at Midway Baptist Church.  He was a truckdriver for many years.  He loved his fur baby “Mr. Dillon”.  He enjoyed fishing, making fishing lures and spending time with family. He loved sharing coffee with everyone and was a member of Second Baptist Church for many years.
    Eddie is survived by his wife, Arla Jeffcoat of Lamesa; daughters, Amanda Hailey and husband, Van of Lamesa, Kaci Porterfield and husband, Jay of Lamesa, and Lindsey Dunsworth and husband, Orvil of Perryton;  parents, Owell and Myrtle Jeffcoat of Lamesa; sister, Linda Small and husband, Craig of Lamesa; brother, Jim Jeffcoat and wife, Sheila of Emory; grandchildren, Cole Vela, Kadyn Jeffcoat, Madison Hailey, Peyton Hailey, Logan Porterfield, Keaton Porterfield, and Hallie Sue Porterfield, Olivia Dunsworth, Emily Dunsworth, and Lilly Dunsworth; father in law and mother in law, Arlie and Mollie Williams.  
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos and Annie Davis and Eddie and Birdie Jeffcoat Linsenbee Parker.
