Manuel Estrada

    Catholic graveside funeral services for Manuel Ariaz Estrada, age 87, of Lamesa were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 29, 2020 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Father John Rathinam officiating. 
    Graveside funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Manuel passed away on Wednesday August 19, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born on May 18, 1933 in Yorktown, TX.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Eugenia Estrada; his brothers, Antonio Estrada, Ray Estrada, and Arturo (Jack) Estrada; his sisters, Raquela Mojica, and Connie Franco.
    Manuel started driving trucks at the age of 16 and continued driving commercial trucks until his retirement. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. 
    Survivors include his brothers, Gabriel Estrada and wife, Elsa Estrada of Lamesa, and Fernando Estrada and wife, Emma Estrada of Harlingen, TX.; his sisters, Tommie Valderrama and husband, Sifredo Valderrama of Allen, TX., and Lupe Saldivar and husband, Fidel Saldivar of Big Spring, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
