School is about to resume and local churches are gearing up to conduct their annual community Back-to-School Giveaway. This year’s giveaway will look different than past years, but the goal to help students succeed will remain a constant. Scheduled for Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. until 12 noon at First Baptist Church, the 22nd annual giveaway will be conducted as a drive-up event, according to Paula Simco, one of the organizers.
