St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church is under a new priesthood after the retirement of Father Joseph Kurumbel. Father Chacko Thadathil has just recently moved to Lamesa. He comes to the United States from Kerala, India. He has been in ministry a total of 26 years with 12 of those years in the United States. Previously, he has served in Texas in the communities of Haskell and Stamford.
