Lamesa Adoptable Pets, a new organization formed here to help find homes for abandoned or abused animals, will be hosting a microchip clinic for pets this coming Saturday. Scheduled for 11 a.m. at the downtown Courtyard, the clinic is being conducted with the assistance of Lubbock-based Operation Pawprints. Only 50 microchips will be available for the clinic but Lamesa Adoptable Pets co-organizer Julie Miller is optimistic there will be another opportunity for this service in the future.
