Lamesa’s Igi Garcia is grateful for second chances. One can say the same about Garcia’s high school head baseball coach, Bobby Alvarez, and Golden Tor assistants Steve Garcia and Avery Gutierrez. Steve is Igi’s father. In mid-March when COVID-19 pulled the plug on the high school baseball season all four weren’t sure if they would see any more baseball this calendar year.
