During the mid 1990s, Klondike’s Tanner Etheredge ranked up there as one of the best small high school athletes in the state.
Making all-state in both football and basketball and then medaling at state in track, Etheredge has the resume to prove it.
Former Golden Tor assistant Jim Kinnear coached the Cougars’ football and basketball squads during Etheredge’s senior year in 1995-1996.
“One of the biggest things which Coach Kinnear did with our group was help make us mentally tougher. He always had us playing an aggressive style of basketball which ended up carrying over onto the football field,” Etheredge said.
