ANDREWS – Andrews County had a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases this week, with many of the positive tests linked to younger people who traveled out of town, according to a health department spokesman. The health department reported 12 new cases since the first of the week—which increased Andrews County’s total to 42. Two local residents also recovered from the virus this week, boosting the numbers of those cleared to 30. As of press time Friday, there were 12 known active cases.
