City of Lamesa officials are seeking volunteers to participate in a community cleanup effort aimed at covering the entire city on just two upcoming Saturdays. Those cleanup days are scheduled for June 20 and 27. Volunteers are asked to meet at City Hall, 601 S. 1st St., at 7 a.m. on each of those days. Pickup trucks and trailers also are needed. On June 20 the target area will be from North 4th St. to the northern edge of Lamesa. The following weekend the area south of N. 4th St. will be targeted.
