Sixty-nine bundles of marijuana were seized following a traffic stop just south of Lamesa on Thursday night, according to Sheriff Matt Hogg.
The estimated street value of the marijuana is about $34,000, Hogg said in a press release issued on Friday.
He said the marijuana was discovered in a small Jeep SUV that a deputy stopped for speeding on Highway 349 a few miles south of Lamesa.
That vehicle reportedly was heading northbound at the time it was pulled over.
