Whether it was drilling last-second bombs against longtime rival Andrews twice in the same month to help win the district championship or making electrifying two-handed slam dunks, Jerry “Bobo” Mason grew up putting on a show for local basketball fans in the 1980s.
The 1986 Lamesa High School graduate looks to rekindle some of that flame among hometown fans and others on the South Plains after writing a book which will soon be published.
Mason’s book, “The Story of Coach/The Mediator of Dreams; Destroyer of Generations” should be a good read among high school hoop fans.
