The COVID-19 crisis already is having a significant financial impact on the local hospital district, with that impact expected to grow over the next few months. In the meantime, hospital officials are applying for every state and federal assistance available that could help offset that impact, according to Letha Stokes, chief executive officer of the Dawson County Hospital District.
