Maria Castillo

    Graveside service for Maria Yolanda Castillo, 84, of Lamesa, will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Dawson County Cemetery with Elim Ruiz officiating under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Maria passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Lamesa, TX surrounded by her loved ones. 
    She was born in San Vicente Municipio De Guerrero, Coah, Mexico on July 13, 1935 to Moises and Petra (Rodriguez) Morales. She married Eduardo Castillo in Coah, Mexico on July 1, 1950. 
    Maria was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Jehovah’s Witness.
    She is survived by her children, Margarita Herrera (Juan) of Phoneix, AZ, Javier Castillo of Piedras Negras, Coah, Mexico, Gracie Sanchez (Fidel) of Lamesa, Rosemary Rocha (David) of Abilene, Jose Castillo of Piedras Negras, Coah, Mexico, Elia Hock (Chris) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Lazaro Castillo (Kay) of Lamesa, Diana Saenz (Omar) of Midland, Nohemi Sanchez (Bobby) of Idalou and Maribel Alvarado (Noe) of Ft Worth. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
    Maria is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Teodor Castillo and son, Eduardo Castillo, Jr.
