Lamesa High School’s Carter Atkinson is one senior who’s found a way to fill some of his spare time this spring benefitting many in his community. With the help of his mother Patrica, Carter has been making face masks which have turned out being very popular among many local residents. “I woke up one day hearing something about how helpful these masks could end up being at this time,” Carter said. “All I really needed was a couple of cotton shirts or t-shirts, shop towels, pony tails and a mother who didn’t mind teaching me how to sew.
