The percentage of people in Dawson County who do not have health insurance increased somewhat from 2017 to 2018 after seeing a sharp decline during the previous 10-year period.
That’s according to statistics for people under age 65 as shown in the latest Small Area Health Insurance Estimates released this past week by the U.S. Census Bureau.
The report shows Dawson County had an uninsured rate of 23.6 percent in the under-65 age group during 2018, the latest year for which statistics are available.
