Klondike’s Aaron Young is going to have to wait a little longer for the opportunity to live out his dream.
Last weekend at Sundown, Young qualified for the state high school power lifting championships by finishing second at regional in the 198-pound weight class.
The state meet was scheduled for March 28 at Abilene’s Expo Center. This past week, however, due to the COVID-10 coronavirus outbreak, the Texas High School Power lifting Association pushed the state meet back to May 2.
Klondike Coach Dalton DeGraffenreid, however, said Friday morning the meet won’t happen that soon.
