Lamesa City Council members on Tuesday will consider establishing a taxfunded economic development program and renaming a downtown park.
Those are among the various items on the agenda for consideration during the council’s regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Jimmy Hammons, an attorney from Brownfield, is slated to meet with the council regarding creation of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) project in Lamesa.
Lamesa economic development officials this past week agreed to provide up $36,900 in funding to cover costs associated with the possible creation of a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone and a TIF project here.
