The Golden Tornadoes’ baseball squad is now 5-8-1 after its three games in Midland’s annual West Texas Classic on Thursday.
“We’re pretty excited about our guys. We’re playing a lot better than what we did last year,” Coach Bobby Alvarez said.
“We’ve got to continue getting better but we really never feel that we’re out of a ball game with these guys. Now we’ve got to learn how to finish. Once we get that lead, we’ve got to do a better job of finishing games off.”
The Golden Tors won their first game in that tournament against Reagan County on a forfeit.
