It had been over a week since the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes’ softball squad last played.
But apparently that layoff didn’t slow down the Golden Tornadoes much. They are now 8-1 this season after shutting out Kermit, 11-0, Tuesday evening at Kermit. The game was stopped after five innings on high school softball’s 10-run rule.
“It had been over a week since we had the opportunity to play so it felt pretty good to get back into that groove again,” Golden Tor Coach Vanessa Hernandez said.
