Chapel service for Naomi Gregory Goodman, age 86, of Lamesa, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, March 13, 2020 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Muleshoe, Texas with Glenn R. Beaver of Lubbock, Texas officiating.
Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. There will be a family visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Ellis Funeral Home.
Naomi died Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Denton, Texas.
She was born February 19, 1934 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Raymond Homer and Violet Dorothy (Gitchell) Gregory. She was married to Ray Helm Goodman.
Naomi was the Yoakum County Deputy Clerk from 1988 until 1998, before becoming the District Clerk in 1998. She was a very active pastor’s wife, ultimately obtaining a specialized ministerial license for the Assembly of God Church. Naomi was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lamesa, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; and a brother, Robert Gregory.
Naomi is survived by her three sons, Ray Goodman of Lubbock, Texas, Dave Goodman and his wife, Joy of Destin, Florida and Gerald Goodman and his wife, Shauna of Lamesa, Texas; her daughter, Rene Shelton and her husband, Rusty of Denton, Texas; her sister, Martha Telfer of Woodburn, Oregon; her brother, Raymond Gregory of Silverton, Oregon; her nine grandchildren; Ryann Shelton, Brock Shelton, Andy Shelton, Riley Goodman, Kaylea Goodman, Gage Goodman, McKayla Goodman, Presley Goodman and Grace Goodman; and her three great-grandchildren, Cory Goodman, Dave Goodman and Ian Goodman.
