Local cotton grower Kevin Furlow was recognized for his impressive cotton yields at the annual Stoneville Legacy Club™ celebration held in Destin, Fla on Feb. 24. Twenty-six growers were honored for harvest yields in the top 10% of their states. Furlow qualified in the irrigated division, harvesting 2,530 pounds of Stoneville cotton per acre. He also took home the top award for highest irrigated yield and most irrigated acres in the Southwest region. To qualify for the Stoneville Legacy Club, growers must have planted 100% Stoneville cotton seed on at least 20 qualifying acres in 2019. ...
