BROWNFIELD – Career and technology (CTE) classes continue to be a very important aspect of high school instruction, especially for Brownfield ISD. CTE programs focus a lot on vocational training such as mechanics, welding, etc. BISD continues to receive grants for CTE. In fact since Superintendent Chris Smith has been at BISD, there have been over $1.3 million in grants accrued for both vocational and academic education. BISD held a formal ceremony for receiving a set of grants on Thursday. The total amount given was $86,055.
