SEMINOLE – On Friday, the Seminole Police Department received a report of an explosion and possible H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) gas escaping from a pump jack, said Police Chief Bernie Kraft. “I arrived on the scene and saw that it was a blowout, not an explosion. It was leaking product from the pump jack,” the chief said. He noted they were concerned that H2S gas was released even though none was detected by monitors at the scene.
