Lamesa’s Bill Weaver Youth Sports Complex will be hopping this weekend as the ‘Show-Me-What-You-Got’ youth girls’ softball tournament will be bringing in young talent from all over West Texas and parts of New Mexico. “We’re looking at having over 20 teams here this weekend with three different divisions: eight-andunder, 10-and-under and 12-and-under,” said Joey Barron, an assistant coach for a girls’ travel team called Glory McKown which is hosting the tournament. “Altogether, we’ve got 22 teams lined up – which is the most you can have in one of these tournaments – with 12 girls on each team. “It should bring a lot ...
