It will be at least a couple more weeks before the Dawson County Commissioners Court has a written policy to consider for the regulation of temporary oilfield flowlines along county roads.
Members were scheduled to consider such a policy at their regular meeting Tuesday afternoon but County Judge Foy O’Brien apologized that he did not have one ready to present.
The local commissioners court had planned to develop a policy patterned after guidelines already in place in neighboring Martin County, but O’Brien said he learned Martin County apparently does not have a policy in writing.
