Klondike’s girls basketball squad forged a tie for second place in District 7-1A by coming home from Grady Tuesday night with a 40-32 win over the Wildcats.
The Cougars led 14-7 at the end of the first quarter and 22-18 at the half. Klondike was up 29-19 at the end of the third quarter.
“It was their senior night down there but our girls came out fired up and ready to go,” Klondike Coach Xavier Elizondo said.
