After Tuesday night’s District 8-1A boys basketball game against Wellman-Union at Welch. it didn’t take Dawson Coach Layne Sheets long to point out the difference in the final outcome.
Rebounding.
“They’re pretty big. They do a good job on the boards,” Sheets said of Tuesday’s 65-28 loss to the Wildcats.
“A lot of time tonight we’d only get one shot, and that hurt. We’ve got to start doing a better job of blocking people out.”
Angel Ramirez’s 15 points led Dawson’s scoring. Sam Penner had six, Zane Jolley had five and Donovan Moreno had two.
