After the UIL released its biennial realignments on Monday the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes now know the district competition they’ll be facing in Class 3A. “We felt like overall it was a good day for us. We feel like we’re going into districts where we should be able to compete in most of our sports,” Golden Tornado Athletic Director Gregg Moreland said. “We’re real excited about our new opportunities.” Lamesa High School baseball coach Bobby Alvarez echoed Moreland’s sentiments. “We should have a chance to compete in every sport.
