After serving on the Lamesa City Council for almost two and a half decades, Marie Briseno announced this past week she will not be seeking re-election. “It has been a wonderful chapter in my life but I’m tired and ready to start a new chapter,” Briseno told the Press-Reporter. “There are no problems.
